Cork: Cool exhibition

A new exhibition entitled Ice and Fire, documentating a photographic journey through Antartica, is on show at the Bishopstown Library. The images were taken by UCC Professor John Gamble, and opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5.30pm. See corkcitylibraries.ie

The Beezneez Theatre Company presents the farce, Don't Dress for Dinner, directed by John McDwyer, from tonight until Saturday night at the Hawk's Well Theatre. Tickets at €18 and €16 are available from the theatre.

Dublin: Day at the museum

The Pearse Museum at St Enda’s Park in Rathfarnham is in the former home of Pádraig Pearse, which he ran as a school, and has many artefacts associated with his life. It is surrounded by more than 20 hectares of parkland and opens daily from 9.30am to 5.30pm. Admission is free. heritageireland.ie
