The fairy lights will be switched on at Belfast Christmas Market, which is celebrating its 10th year, today and will open every day until December 21st. The grounds of Belfast City Hall will host some 80 traditional wooden chalets, selling seasonal food and gifts. There'll be French crepes, Belgian chocolates, ostrich, wild boar and crocodile burgers for the adventurous, and bratwurst from Germany. Local retailers will be out in force too, accounting for 30 per cent of the stalls. There are special hotel deals available at discovernorthernireland.com/offers if you want to stay on in the city.
