Nairobi - At least 101 people were killed when two buses collided and burst into flames in western Kenya yesterday, police said. A police spokesman, Mr Peter Kimanthi, said most of the bodies were burned beyond recognition.
The buses crashed at Kapkatunga, a rural business centre near Kericho, about 300 km (185 miles) west of the capital, Nairobi. Police said 57 people had been admitted to hospital with injuries. Three escaped with light injuries.
