Almost 150 lawyers have signed a letter to newspapers calling for a No vote in the abortion referendum.
"We believe that the Amendment Bill is legally flawed and constitutionally cumbersome, and we have identified a range of substantive and procedural flaws within the Bill," the letter states.
The group is drawn mainly from the Law Library and is therefore largely composed of barristers working in Dublin, but also includes some solicitors.
The letter was released at a meeting of Lawyers Against the Amendment yesterday
