A five-year-old girl, who broke both her wrists while playing on a bouncing castle, has been awarded €20,000 damages in the Circuit Civil Court.

Circuit Court president, Mr Justice Matthew Deery, heard that Lily Parsons was sliding down the castle when she crashed into a woman sitting at the bottom of the slide.

Barrister David Conlan Smyth said Lily had been playing at the David Lloyd Leisure Centre in Clonskeagh, on April 4th last year, when the incident occurred. He said the Personal Injuries Assessment Board had recommended €20,000 damages. Judge Deery approved the figure.
