A domestic Nepalese passenger plane crashed into a remote western mountain jungle shortly before landing yesterday, killing all 25 people aboard, including three children.

"The bodies of all the ill-fated 25 persons on board the plane have been recovered while Captain Wangdi Lama's body has been brought to Nepalgunj," south-west of the Kathmandu area, state-run Radio Nepal said.

The Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation (RNAC) Twin Otter plane crashed into thick jungle in Daduldhura district, 415 km west of the capital, it said. Three helicopter rescue teams recovered the bodies, the radio station said, adding that they would continue searching the debris this morning.
