Moscow - Three Russian soldiers were killed and 12 others wounded in rebel attacks in the breakaway republic of Chechnya, Interfax news agency reported yesterday.
Two died and three were wounded when Chechen guerrillas opened fire on a federal truck moving through a forest in southwestern Chechnya on Monday, the agency said. The ambush occurred near Shaami-Yurt, a settlement 20 km (12 miles) south-west of Grozny.
