Karachi - Law and order deteriorated in the largest Pakistani city of Karachi amid fresh bombings and shootings that left three dead and 17 injured, raising the death toll to 30 in four days.

Two bombings within 20 minutes, the first outside the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) and the second at a government building left 14 people injured, police said. Opposition leader Ms Benazir Bhutto criticised the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for releasing "hardened terrorists", allegedly belonging to the city's influential Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
