Police in six European countries have arrested 60 suspected members of a Georgian organised crime gang involved in drugs smuggling and money laundering, Spanish court officials said today.
The operation was triggered by a probe into the Russian mafia in Spain, where police have arrested 21 suspects, mostly in the cities of Valencia and Barcelona, they said.
The other arrests were carried out in France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Germany they said, without saying exactly when the raids took place or giving more details.
