House builder Abbey reported a lower full-year pretax profit as revenues fell.
The construction company said trading in the new year is progressing steadily, but it expects rising interest rates to affect its business going forward.
Abbey said pretax profit for the year to April 30th was €45.42 million, compared with €47.1 million last year, as revenues fell to €192.2 million from €204.5 million.
In Ireland, a strong sales effort was let down by construction delays, and so completions fell well short of its expectations, the company said.
