The Sinn Fein leader, Mr Gerry Adams, has cancelled most of a tour of the US and Canada scheduled for this month after being told by Senator George Mitchell that he should be available over the next two weeks. Mr Adams was due to begin a fund-raising and speech tour on Sunday week in Ottawa and Toronto in Canada and fly later to the US. His trip will now consist of one event in New York on October 20th.
