A drug addict who was released from prison in June after serving two years of a six-year sentence had her sentence reactivated on Tuesday for breaching her bail conditions.

Sabrina Walsh (22), of Balcurris Road, Ballymun, was originally jailed for nine years by Judge Kieran O'Connor at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on June 30th, 1998, for larceny of a handbag with cash and jewellery valued £9,000.

The sentence was reduced to six years the following October by the Court of Criminal Appeal but the review date of June 2000 remained.

Walsh was due back before the courts on October 17th to have her early release reviewed but failed to appear and Judge Elizabeth Dunne issued a bench warrant for her arrest.
