An Aer Lingus passenger jet was forced to make an emergency landing at Dublin airport yesterday after a strange mist entered the cabin through the aircraft's air conditioning system.
The pilot immediately turned the aircraft around and requested an emergency landing at Dublin airport.
The New York-bound flight EI-105 had taken off at 10.30am when the problem developed, and the emergency landing occurred at 11.19am.
While Aer Lingus engineers examined the plane, passengers reboarded another aircraft and took off for New York at about 4pm.

The problem was identified as a "hydraulics" issue and fixed. The aircraft was expected to re-enter service last night, an Aer Lingus spokesman said.
