A Ryanair Boeing 737-200, which was involved in an incident at Shannon on Saturday that disrupted services at the airport, took off successfully for London yesterday morning. As the aircraft was about to take off for London on Saturday with 127 passengers, the pilot applied the brakes when an indicator light suddenly came on in the cockpit.

The incident happened at about 4.10 p.m. and for two hours the main runway was closed until the aircraft was towed off. The passengers were taken by road to Dublin and Cork to continue their journeys.
