Alleged ETA assassins held

Madrid - The alleged killers of a Spanish Air Force surgeon were arrested in Seville within hours of his assassination, Jane Walker reports. Jon Igor Solana Matarran (26) was detained by police on Monday night as he ran from the surgery of Col Antonio Munoz Carinanos (58) in the historic centre of the city, while his accomplice, Harriet Iragi Gurrutxaga (23), was shot and injured in the shoot-out. He ran for cover and took refuge in a nearby building site but gave himself up shortly before dawn and was taken to hospital with a bullet wound in the shoulder.
