Unionist students at Queen's University Belfast are angry at a decision by the university's senate to admit members of Sinn Fein and the Progressive Unionist Party into the Students' Union. A spokesman for Queen's University Unionist Association described the decision as a "further attempt to alienate unionist students".

The spokesman added: "This decision further proves that Queen's University is only interested in addressing nationalist and republican grievances and seeks to ignore that there is no unionist representation at the highest levels of the Students' Union."
