Garda divers will this morning resume searching for an angler lost in waters off Gweebarra Estuary, Co Donegal, shortly before 9 p.m. last night.
The man, in his 60s and from nearby Glenties, was fishing beneath Gweebarra bridge when the sandbank he was standing on collapsed. A hat and fishing rod were recovered.
The Aran lifeboat, Bunbeg coastguard and Sligo marine rescue helicopter searched the coast until nightfall.
