A bail application by a man accused of possessing the gun used in the loyalist feud murder of alleged Portadown UVF leader Richard Jameson was adjourned for a second time yesterday.

Nigel Willis (27), a barman from Dunore Avenue, Moy gashel, Co Tyrone, is charged with having the gun with intent to endanger life.

It was alleged in court on Monday that Willis made verbal admissions he received the gun in Dungannon after the shooting and took it to Cookstown. Lord Justice Nicholson said he would like to hear evidence from the police officer who claimed Willis made verbal admissions.

Willis's bail application was adjourned until later this week.
