Two armed robbers got away with a small amount of cash following a bank raid on the Ulster Bank, Gorey, yesterday. The thieves drove up to the bank in Main Street in a silver-coloured 90 D-registered Volvo, at about 1 p.m, according to a Garda spokesman.
Their faces were covered as they entered the premises and one of them was brandishing a knife, the garda said. They took the money and made their getaway in the car.
No one was injured in the robbery.
