Armed robbery suspect arrested in Kildare

A man suspected of carrying out an armed robbery in Waterford has been arrested in Kildare in possession of cash and a gun.

A man suspected of carrying out an armed robbery in Waterford has been arrested in Kildare in possession of cash and a gun.

The man was stopped by gardaí as he drove towards Dublin on the Naas Dual Carriageway near Kill at around 7.00 pm last night.

The TSB bank in Waterford was robbed yesterday by a man with a gun, who held up staff before escaping with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is being held at Naas Garda Station for questioning.
