The British army is to provide special protective boots to sniffer dogs searching for arms and explosives in London, a spokesman said yesterday.
The boot wearing dogs will be able to explore bombed buildings without cutting their paws on metal and glass fragments.
The new rip proof boots are being tested by Sam and Luke, two black labradors. "They look like a diver's wet suit. The dogs appear quite happy with them," said the spokesman.
