London - The Tory treasurer, Mr Michael Ashcroft, has settled his libel action against the London Times newspaper, it emerged last night. There will be no apology and no published correction but a statement in the paper today makes clear that none of Mr Ashcroft's businesses in Belize has any connection with drug-dealing.
