TEXAS - US astronaut Shannon Lucid (53) was relieved from duty yesterday after a record breaking stay aboard Russia's Mir space station ended with the arrival of the shuttle Atlantis.
Lucid has been waiting for her ride home since early August. The shuttle was running late because of rocket problems, a threatening hurricane and scheduling difficulties.
