Australia batsman Darren Lehmann was today facing a five-match ban from one-day internationals after being found guilty of breaking the International Cricket Council's code of conduct.

At a hearing in Adelaide, ICC match-referee Clive Lloyd handed out the punishment to the South Australia and Yorkshire captain for the racial slur Lehmann made following his dismissal against Sri Lanka on Wednesday.

The suspension starts with immediate effect and that would rule him out of the rest of the VB Series, which continues against England in Adelaide tomorrow.
