Austria's far-right Freedom Party has confirmed it will participate in a new government coalition with the conservative party of Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel.
"The party leadership has agreed to take part in the new government that the chancellor will form," said Freedom Party spokesman Gerald Grosz.
He was speaking as Freedom Party bosses met in the Austriancapital to agree whether to renew its government partnership withthe conservatives.
The new government is due to be sworn in this afternoon in the presence of President Thomas Klestil.
