Bank of Ireland has appointed a London-based property team to focus on the UK and European markets.
Three senior bankers have been appointed from National Australia Bank in Britain, and further recruitment is planned.
Tom Hayes, chief executive, Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking, said: "This is a significant development for us in the UK market and is in line with our strategy to further grow our sector specialist teams."
He said the appointments reflect the bank's commitment to growing its presence in a European market now estimated to be worth in excess of £100 billion.
