Jerusalem - The Israeli Prime Minister, Mr Ehud Barak, yesterday defused a crisis with ultra-Orthodox coalition partners from the Shas party who threatened to quit over the transport by road of a huge power-plant part on the Jewish Sabbath. Mr Barak agreed in talks with the party that a professional team would consider weekday alternatives for similar operations in the future.
