The Barron report into the Dublin bombings of 1972 and 1973 is likely to be published on Wednesday, it emerged last night.
Three men were killed in the bomb attacks at Sackville Place in December 1972 and January 1973.
The Taoiseach, Mr Ahern, received the report from Mr Justice Barron last June.
It is likely to be considered by the Cabinet on Tuesday before being passed a day later to the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Justice. The committee is understood to have made tentative preparations for publication on Wednesday, pending a vote of its members.
All those killed in the attacks worked for CIÉ. George Bradshaw (30), a bus driver, and Thomas Duffy (23), a conductor, were killed in an explosion on December 1st, 1972. Tommy Douglas (21), a conductor, was killed when another bomb exploded on January 20th, 1973.
