BBC Sport presenter Helen Rollason died yesterday after a long battle against cancer. She was 43.

BBC Sport presenter Helen Rollason died yesterday after a long battle against cancer. She was 43.

The first woman ever to present Grandstand, Ms Rollason outlived doctors' expectations died peacefully at her home in Brentwood, Essex, surrounded by her family and friends.

Last month she received an MBE, travelling to Buckingham Palace in a wheelchair and with a nurse.
