Hamburg - Dedicated Beatles fans got back to where their heroes once belonged to mark the release of a new compilation album with 13 hours of twisting and shouting ending early yesterday. The Fab Four got their big break playing in Hamburg clubs a long time ago.
It was 1960 when the then Silver Beatles - a five-member outfit of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Stuart Sutcliffe, and Pete Best - went to play in seedy nightclubs in Hamburg's red light district. It was well before the band's 27 number one hits that make up the new compilation 1 released yesterday.
