A petrol bomb attack on a house in west Belfast overnight has been linked to a deepening family feud which was sparked by a murder earlier this year.
At least three people were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after thugs targeted their home in the Ballymurphy district overnight.
The property at Dermott Hill Park was badly hit when the devices were thrown in at about 3.30am. A man, woman and teenage girl all managed to get out.
As detectives examined items seized from the scene it emerged that the attack is part of the continuing dispute over the murder of Gerard Devlin.
Father-of-six Mr Devlin (39), was stabbed to death in February as he called to collect his children from a nearby house in Ballymurphy.
Police have said that they have spent £1 million sterling tackling the feud, including a £300,000 overtime bill which senior officers said had diverted resources from fighting rising burglary and car crime rates in the area.
