Most of the charities forsaken by the Princess of Wales one year ago are doing better without her, according to a television report to be screened tomorrow.

Only one unnamed charity of the 62 based in Britain have seen a drop in income after the princess stopped working on their behalf, according to British Channel Five's What's The Story? The study followed the Princess's decision to resign as patron from 93 British and Commonwealth groups in July last year and cut her workload to six charities. The programme said most charities had found British celebrities and Baroness Thatcher had proved to be a bigger draw. Some had raised twice as much money since Diana left.
