Islamabad - Pakistan authorities moved yesterday to strip the opposition leader, Benazir Bhutto, and her husband of their parliamentary seats because of their conviction last week for corruption.
The move by the heads of the National Assembly (lower house) and Senate (upper house) coincided with low-key protests across the country against the special court ruling on April 15th that sentenced Bhutto and her husband, Asif Ali Zardari, to five years' jail.
