Birmingham City have agreed an undisclosed fee with Blackburn Rovers to buy midfielder David Dunn, the club have revealed. The fee is estimated to be in excess of £5.25m sterling.
The premier league clubs have been in negotiations over Dunn, who has one England cap, for several weeks, with Birmingham's initial appearance-related offer of around £5m being turned down.
Dunn, who played for England in last September's friendly against Portugal, will now meet Birmingham manager Steve Bruce and club officials to discuss personal terms.
The 23-year-old has been at Blackburn since he was a trainee but turned down a contract extension at Ewood Park in May. Last season he struggled to hold down a regular first team place after falling out with manager Graeme Souness.
