Most students associate the Prime Minister, Mr Blair, with the Star Wars character Luke Skywalker and Ms Ann Widdecombe with the puppet moggy Bagpuss, a poll revealed yesterday.
About 46 per cent of students questioned said Mr John Prescott resembled Jim Royle from sitcom The Royle Family, 42 per cent thought he was most like cartoon character Homer Simpson and 63 per cent saw the Tory leader, Mr William Hague as Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. Mr Hague was also likened to Bungle the Bear from Rainbow by 22 per cent of students while Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy was identified as The Invisible Man by 42 per cent.
