Gardaí in Donegal have launched an investigation following the discovery of a newborn baby in a house in Donegal town this morning.
A garda spokesman said the scene had been preserved for a detailed forensic examination.
The State Pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy, has carried out a post mortem examination on the body at Letterkenny General hospital.
