The Alliance Party has condemned a bomb attack outside the home of a former prison officer in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim. The bomb was placed under the man's car in the town's Castlemara estate. It exploded at 11 p.m. on Monday night. No one was injured. It was the second such attack in recent days and comes after the Loyalist Volunteer Force issued a threat against prison officers.
