Deventer - A man who bought a box of old books at a second-hand market in Deventer, Netherlands, discovered two etchings by the 17th-century master Rembrandt tucked among the volumes, ANP reported yesterday.
The etchings, a 1631 portrait of Rembrandt's mother and a depiction of the Good Samaritan from 1633, were authenticated by an art expert during a television roadshow at the weekend. The signed etchings were valued at 33,000 guilders (£12,000)
