Washington - A US union representing 35,000 electrical and public sector workers yesterday endorsed long-shot presidential hopeful Mr Ralph Nader, saying the real "wasted vote" would be for either major-party candidate. Nader is running for the US Green Party and threatens to erode support in key states from the Democratic Vice-President, Mr Al Gore.
"Decades of corporate-controlled Democratic and Republican presidencies convince us that we have no choice but to escape the two-party trap," the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE) said in its endorsement.
