Shijaia - The Palestinian Authority declared a state of emergency in several north Gaza neighbourhoods and demanded compensation from Israel yesterday after a nearby Israeli reservoir collapsed and flooded the area.
The Palestinian Minister of Environment, Mr Youssef Abu Safiyah, deemed the incident a catastrophe and said Israel did not inform its Palestinian neighbours of the reservoir's collapse in time.
