Tallinn - An Estonian schoolboy may have lost his chance to attend a world mathematics contest in the US after sending an e-mail with a hoax death threat to US President George W. Bush, the daily Postimees reported yesterday.

The 16-year-old maths student wrote the e-mail message holding Mr Bush responsible for the September 11th terror attacks, signed it "Your Death" and sent it to the White House while in a computer class, the newspaper said.

The prank may prevent the boy, whose identity was not given, from receiving a US visa to attend a world olympiad for young mathematicians in the US next spring.
