A subsidiary of BWG Group has purchased Galway-based Tolan Distribution Limited.
BWG Foods has bought Tolan Foodservice, which was established in 1996 and has an annual turnover of over €20 million, for an undisclosed amount.
Tolans - which specialises in the distribution of ambient, chilled, fresh and frozen groceries to the foodservice sector - employs 49 staff. The present management team and staff will remain in place.
BWG Foods is the operator of the SPAR and MACE franchises in Ireland and owner of the Value Centre chain of Cash & Carrys.
