The Catholic Church has set up a group to examine "all aspects" of Catholic education in the State.

The Catholic Church has set up a group to examine "all aspects" of Catholic education in the State.

In a statement the Caholic Communications Office said the Strategic Planning Group would prepare a plan for the future of Catholic education.

"This will involve establishing priorities and clarifying church intent in education and school provision.

"This will be set within a tight timeframe and will lead to civil and canonical negotiations," the statement said.
