Coventry chairman Mike McGinnity today confirmed the Division One club have accepted an undisclosed offer from Celtic for goalkeeper Magnus Hedman.

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill has been searching for a new keeper after Dmitri Kharine was released this summer.

The Swedish international will meet O'Neill today and is expected to complete a medical tomorrow.

McGinnity said: "The offer from Celtic is far in excess of the bid we received from Espanyol in June. The board are satisfied that it meets our valuation of Magnus".
