BRITAIN: Insurance magnate John Charman says he will challenge an order to pay his former wife £48 million (€70.3 million) in what is believed to be the biggest divorce award in English legal history.
Mr Charman (53) said in a statement that he believed the ruling was "unfair and unreasonable".
"I made a fair and open offer to my wife of £20 million [ €29.3 million], which would be impossible for any reasonable person to spend in their lifetime," he added.
A spokesman for Mrs Charman said she did not wish to comment. - (PA)
