Cherie Blair is to make a public display of loyalty to her "lifestyle guru" Carole Caplin, it is claimed.
The Mail on Sunday says Mrs Blair will take Ms Caplin, whose boyfriend is convicted fraudster Peter Foster, to a carol concert at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday.
But Downing Street insists that, while Mrs Blair intends to attend the event, it does not yet know who will accompany her.
Meanwhile, the Home Office denies that political pressure has been put on Mr Foster to leave the country.
And Downing Street press officers deny that any member of the Blair family agreed to promote slimming tablets for Mr Foster.
Mrs Blair is due to attend the Sargent Cancer Care for Children charity carol service on Friday.
A Downing Street spokesman said: "Mrs Blair is the patron of that charity and intends to attend the event as she has done in the past.
"In the past she has been accompanied by Carole Caplin. I am not aware of who, if anyone, will be attending with her on the 13th."
The Times claims that Mr Foster was approached twice last week by immigration officials trying to make him leave the country.
Last Monday - the morning after he was first publicly named in connection with Mrs Blair - he was told he must leave by December 18, says the paper. Then he was called on Wednesday and told he must leave by December 6, it claims.
