The Red Hot Chili Peppers are to play an outdoor concert in Croke Park next summer.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are to play an outdoor concert in Croke Park next summer.

The band, who headlined Slane in 2003, will take to the stage on June 26th.

The band had a third successive number one album in Ireland with their latest release, I’m With You.

In addition to their Slane concert, they played to more than 110,000 in the Phoenix Park in 2004.

Tickets go on sale at 8pm next Friday which is the same date as their gig in the O2. Details of ticket prices for the Croke Park concert have yet to be released.
