Hyderabad - About 100,000 Christians held a rally in India's southern Andhra Pradesh state yesterday to protest against a recent spate of attacks on their community and urge the government to take action against the violence.
Church leaders at the rally in Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, also appealed to the President, Mr K.R. Narayanan, to protect the rights of all Indians, including Christians, to practise and propagate their faith in a peaceful manner.
