Louth Fine Gael TD Fergus O'Dowd last night in the Dáil named the owner of the Bedford House Nursing Home in Balbriggan, Co Dublin, which he had described as "worse than Leas Cross".
He said that there were two medical practitioners named Dr Nasser but Bedford House's registered owner was Dr Khawaja Jamel Nasser.
In a short, clarifying statement Mr O'Dowd said that "during Private Members' Time last Wednesday, November 15th, I read a report from the Health Service Executive concerning Bedford House Nursing Home in Balbriggan, Co Dublin.
"The report stated verbatim that the registered owner of this home is 'Dr Nasser'.
"For clarity this Dr Nasser is registered with the Medical Council. He's Dr number 10840 and he's registered as Dr Khawaja Jamel Nasser."
Last week the Louth TD read a report from 2004 into Bedford House in Balbriggan, Co Dublin, which, he said, was in a "most shameful and disgraceful condition".
