THE opening night of Deadpan, an evening of dance at the Project Arts Centre this week, drew a more diverse crowd than usual. One of the dancers, Morleigh Steinberg, is the Edge's close friend and Howie B, who was responsible for the music for the evening, is one of the hippest DJs around and has worked extensively with U2.
Harry Crosbie and Gavin Friday turned up, but U2 spotters were disappointed as the fab 4 were stuck in the studio and couldn't make the opening night.
